How has life been for you under Covid-19?

Very strange, different! In March 2020, I was a year 11 student revising every day for my GCSEs which were due to commence on 12th May. School told us on a Wednesday that schools were closing and we would be finishing to go into lockdown, then added to this, the Government announced no GCSE exams at all. I was so upset and felt robbed of my opportunity to sit my exams knowing the results should have been gained as a result of my efforts throughout my time at Secondary School. Felt like a novelty at first, getting up late, not doing any work, what was the point I thought at that stage. I had applied to Colleges to do Beauty Therapy in September so life became one long holiday. Life in Lockdown became ok, enjoyed it. Have done lots of things and now I look forward to getting back to normal and starting college in September.

What is your chosen creative activity and explain why you have chosen to do this piece

I filmed lots of different things I have done during lockdown – walks, baking, tik-tok's, our weekly family quiz night, doing my make up – just to show me and my thoughts. I have two nephews and to tell them about 2020 and Life in Lockdown in the future will be great if we can look back on the videos – it is a piece of history!
