How has life been for you under Covid-19?
Life has been a rollercoaster of emotions. It was extremely difficult at first, especially as I had to move houses during a global pandemic! I felt very isolated and lonely. After taking a lot of nature walks, I started to feel creative again and started decorating my new house and garden, which I now love! I also started working on my business goals again, ready for re-opening once this is all over. It still does feel a little frightening, wondering if life will ever go back to 'normal' again, I guess we'll have to wait and see.
What is your chosen creative activity and explain why you have chosen to do this piece
I create and alter special occasion wear. I have chosen to make a bridal accessory (a bridal cover-up). It would be worn over a strapless wedding dress to give some coverage to the bride. The reason I have chosen to do this is because it represents all of the weddings which were cancelled due to COVID-19. I myself had clients who had to cancel the alterations of their beautiful dresses, it has been a difficult time for all.
