How has life been for you under Covid-19?

It wasn’t easy at first before lockdown started, I had the offer to work in Austria for 6 weeks on a ski season but then that got cancelled the day before I meant to fly out, and then I was waiting to hear back from a job at Warwick Castle which got closed and recruitment was frozen. I was worried about not having a job, but then I got a job part-time at Morrisons which has eased some pressure. I’m in a much better place than I was at the start of lockdown.

What is your chosen creative activity and explain why you have chosen to do this piece

I have written a poem, reflecting was life has been like since COVID-19 spread, looking at how, at first, we thought it was nothing to be afraid of, but then as it travelled, as did peoples fears and anxieties about it. I have also looked at how it has affected my life, as a recent graduate, and how it has impacted on me going into my desired field of work. Using newspaper clipping and tweets, I have tried to reflect the world’s view on the matter.
